list_alt STEP-BY-STEP BIOMECHANICAL EXECUTION

01

Foot Placement & Stance

Stand with feet hip-width apart, bar cutting directly across midfoot (1 inch from shins).

VECTOR CUE: Bar over midfoot • Hip-width stance • Arms straight outside knees
02

Grip & Wedging In

Hinge at hips, reach down and grab the bar. Bring shins forward to touch bar without moving it. Squeeze chest high and pull slack out of the bar.

VECTOR CUE: Touch shins to bar • Chest proud • Pull out the 'click' slack
03

Leg Drive Floor Push

Take deep air into belly, brace core, and push the floor away with your feet like a leg press.

VECTOR CUE: Push floor away • Bar travels straight vertical along shins
04

Hip Lockout & Lowering

Drive hips forward to stand erect at lockout (do not hyperextend back). Push hips back and lower bar to floor under control.

VECTOR CUE: Lock hips tall • Don't lean back • Return smoothly to dead stop

warning COMMON MISTAKES & PRECISION FIXES
